PLANT FOSSILS FROM
AUSTRALIA

Up to this age the
vegetation was mainly ferns, cycads and conifers. Glossopteris was the ancestor
to all broadleaf plants like magnolia and which were to come later the maples,
oaks, elms sycamores etc. With the destruction of nearly 85% of all life due to
some catastrophe it's a rarity to find any fossils during this age.
